Tucson's Trend Setter KJLL AM 1330

Stephanie Miller

The Stephanie Miller Show has been on the air since September 2004 and has become one of the most important and fastest growing shows in Progressive Talk, heard weekdays in Tucson on AM 1330 KJLL from 6am to 9am, as well as on radio stations across America, on Sirius Satellite Radio, via podcasts and live streaming.  No stranger to politics and current events, as her late father, WIlliam E. Miller, was Barry Goldwater's running mate in the Republicans' failed 1964 bid for the presidency.  Ms. Miller's fresh voice and political satire has also been featured during appearances on ABC's "Good Morning America," NBC's "Today Show," CNN's "Larry King Live," "The Tonight Show," and FOX's "The O'Reilly Factor." The show connected with Tucson listeners, so much so that ratings have doubled and aided THE JOLT IN BECOMING ONE OF THE TOP NEWS/TALK STATIONS ON THE AM DIAL!

THE I-MAN IS HOME!

Don Imus’ 16-month exile from Tucson’s radio airwaves ends Sept. 2. The Jolt KJLL 1330-AM last week signed a deal to begin carrying the nationally-syndicated program but you’re going to have to be an early riser to hear it. Kimberley Kelly, station manager for the Jolt, says it will air live from New York, from 3 a.m. - 6 a.m. Tucson time. Imus’ show will shift to an hour later as of Nov. 3 (4-7am) when the rest of the country ends Daylight Savings Time. Listening to Imus’ new program, call it a "changed program." In particular, the new dynamics created with the inclusion of Karith Foster, a black female comic, and Tony Powell, who calls himself a cross between "the charisma of Eddie Murphy, the irreverence of Chris Rock, and the Old School charm of The late  Bernie Mac." Imus’ show also continues to feature comedian Rob Bartlett and newsman Charles McCord. Welcome back Imus" One thing that has not changed is Imus’ ability to attract big, important guests, especially political figures. "We think it’s very important to have our shows live; it makes for better interaction with the audience, about 90 percent of our schedule is live."
